Rage at God

Anneliese Widman, Ph.D.
(1921-2019)

A psychotherapist with years of private practice in New York City.  Her first career was a Broadway dancer, introduced her to the body’s subtle energies.  That led her to formal study of Bioenergetics and training with its founders, Alexander Lowen, M.D., and John Pierrakos, M.D.  Her innovative approach to therapy has since expanded to include a fusion of psychoanalysis and spirituality, which she describes in all of her books.

Thank you for visiting and we hope you enjoy the life, history, books and teachings.

Anneliese Widman PHD018

I am a Bioenergetic psychotherapist in practice for over twenty years who has moved beyond the traditional forms of psychoanalysis.  I am interested in seeing the patient grow from the “I” state of consciousness to the “I am” state of consciousness.  The categories and concepts that will be addressed in this book – notably, Reflectivism, my theory of a soul’s prenatal choice of characterized parents to illustrate to the soul its own need of specific rectification – were elucidated in my first book, My Female, My Male, My Self, and God: A Modern Woman in Search of Her Soul.

Other concepts that will be introduced as the reader journeys with the three patients whose process of discovery and growth have been explored in this book.  All three patients have arrived at an “I” consciousness and are groping for an “I am” consciousness.  All are striving to overcome their destiny, not only in this life but also from lives of the past.  I hope a learning process about the path to ascension will become evident to the reader.

“Truly an inspired and an inspiring work –

a must for this whose quest is wholeness, completion
